Production & Manufacturing Agreements
Turning designs into finished garments or accessories often requires navigating complex supply chains and international relationships. The Fashion Law Lab assists fashion brands negotiate, draft, and enforce production and manufacturing agreements that set clear expectations for quality, delivery, and responsibility. These contracts are the backbone of ensuring that creative vision is executed without compromising standards or exposing the brand to unnecessary risk.
Our work includes drafting agreements with manufacturers, suppliers, and production houses—both domestic and abroad—to address critical issues such as timelines, minimum order quantities, quality control procedures, intellectual property ownership, and liability for defects or delays. Because disputes often arise when obligations are vague, and therefore exploited, we ensure that each contract is precise, enforceable, and tailored to protect the brand’s interests throughout the production process.
We also counsel clients on managing the risks of offshore production and global supply chains, including compliance with labor and ethical sourcing standards. For emerging brands scaling up production, we provide strategies to negotiate favorable terms while preserving flexibility for growth. At the Fashion Law Lab, our role is to give designers and brands the confidence that their production partnerships will uphold the integrity of their work—delivering not only on time and on budget, but at the standard of quality their brand represents.
